Weight Loss is something we all seem to talk about but many don’t or won’t do anything about it. I was like that for many years. I played the guessing game for so long and am now happy that I no longer have to it and that I can actually help others avoid it as well.

Turn off the television and go for a walk
Turning off the television can not only save you from snacking, needlessly, but can also force you to get up and move. Also, make sure you turn off the TV while dining. Eating your meals while watching can almost double your food consumption. So turn it off.
Go for a walk
Sitting burns more calories than lying and standing burns more calories than sitting. So what’s the next step? Yep, go for a walk. Taking a 30 – 45 minute each day is a great way to kick start your metabolism and gets you moving
Workout at least 3 times per week

A Healthy Snack
Between meals snacks used to be a no-no according to the weight loss guru’s. Now however we know that in-between snacks can be very beneficial when they are healthy. Next time you are looking for something between meals, reach for a handful of almonds, or cashews, or maybe even some carrots. Keep it clean and keep it natural. It will not only kill the craving but your body will thank you for it.
Make sure your first meal of the day is a good one
My mom used to always preach that a good balanced breakfast was the best way to start the day. Well, here’s to you mom, because you were right. A good balanced breakfast of some healthy carbs, protein and some good healthy fats will kick start you in the right direction for sure! This is also the best time to have some fruit. There are a lot of great healthy meals and snacks out there that are perfect for weight loss with the added bonus of some great taste.
Cut back on the alcohol
Alcohol is the downfall to many peoples unexplained weight loss failure. When you are truly serious about your results you should eliminate any and all alcoholic beverages from your program. Alcohol is NOT your carbs for the day (I’ve heard that several times). Truth is those are not actually carbs. They are alcohol. Alcohol has 7 calories per gram as opposed to 4 for carbs. But if you feel that you must have something then maybe a glass or two on the weekend is acceptable.
